Where Neighbors Meet

Louis’ has been a fixture of Pillette Village for decades and has a loyal clientele of regulars. We often have breakfast there on the weekend but have to arrive early enough to beat the after-church crowd. I like the fact that Louis is always there, and his staff must be family because there’s never any turnover in the faces who greet, seat and serve you. His breakfast price finally went up after years at $4.99; it’s six and change now. Everything is always fresh and delicious. The place is sunny with a nice paint job, decorated with framed posters of Greece, pictures Louis is proud of, and a thriving lemon tree that comes indoors in winter. You can watch your breakfast being made, as the grill is right behind the old-fashioned soda fountain type counter with stools.
